About this activity

Trade the beach for the backroads on this Koh Samui Jungle Safari Tour 4×4, operating Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Climb into an insured 4×4 truck with an English- and German-speaking guide and spend a full day exploring the island’s culture, forest trails, and highest viewpoints. The route blends temples, waterfalls, jungle tracks, and scenic lookouts, with hotel pick-up between 08:00–09:00, the tour running 09:00–15:00, and drop-off by 16:00.

Start with Koh Samui’s cultural highlights, Wat Samret (home to an ancient Buddha), Wat Khunaram (the Mummified Monk), and the ornate Wat Sila Ngu with its red ordination hall and serpent motifs. Cool off at Na Muang 2 Waterfall after a short guided walk, then head up the mountain ridge for sweeping island panoramas from Sun Star Viewpoint (473 m) and additional lookouts over Maenam/Chaweng. Lunch is served at an exclusive private mountain-top restaurant, a peaceful setting you won’t reach on standard routes, before continuing to the mystical Tar Nim Waterfall (Magic Garden) with forest sculptures and shady streams.

Along the way, your guide introduces everyday island life with a rubber-tapping demonstration and a stroll through a tropical fruit garden, where you’ll sample seasonal fruit (think coconut, rambutan, mangosteen, durian when in season). Expect some bumpy off-road sections, great photo stops, and plenty of local insights. All entrance fees, lunch, drinking water, cold towels, and insurance are included, just bring comfy footwear, swimwear and a towel for the waterfall, sun protection, and a camera. This small-group 4×4 safari is the most efficient way to see Koh Samui’s temples, jungle, and viewpoints in one memorable day.
